The event was a night of live rock and roll at First Avenue. (Yes, that is where Prince filmed Purple Rain.) A real battle of the bands, it had everyone jumping and headbanging. The agency bands included the band winner Clockwork, Morsekode, Fast Horse, Magnet 360 and Target Creative.
All funds raised went to the Brand Lab, whose mission is to bring inclusion and diversity to the advertising industry through internships, mentorships, and education. This first-ever event raised $25K and won an award for the creative campaign. We are all pretty darn proud of the work the community poured into this.
As the official photography sponsor, Armour Photography produced the ‘Album Art’ of the 5 agency bands. The photos were shot in the garage at First Avenue in a balmy 16 degrees F. The cold did not get in the way (much) as we brought the concept to life.
