As a creative person, I am always challenging myself to push my creative expression in new and fresh directions. I have always embraced these projects as a place of exploration, discovery, and freedom.
I am my own worst critic and that can lead to way too much pressure to perform. I have learned to simply chase an idea and not worry about the outcome of these personal projects. This approach usually allows the vision to come into focus and shine the brightest.
I look to inspire myself, and if others find inspiration along the way then that is really cool. What’s your personal project? If you don’t have one, it’s time to create the space for one.
These images are from a series that I produced this past summer – in a garage. Human storytelling with a pure, honest simplicity was my vision. One light, one location and one human named Blair tell the backstory.
